Interviews

If you are shortlisted for an interview for this role, you must bring evidence of the following qualifications:

GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.

If you hold overseas GCSE equivalent qualifications, you will need to bring an ECCTIS comparability statement for you GCSE equivalent qualifications along with your original certificate

A Full Care Certificate OR NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ’s from a regulated awarding body).

If you do not bring the above qualifications to your interview, then the interview will not proceed.

The post holder will be responsible for:

The primary role of a Senior Clinical Support Worker is to assist, support and work in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the wider multidisciplinary team; in order to provide a safe and holistic approach to person\-centred care. The Senior Clinical Support Worker should actively contribute to the health and well\-being of patients, staff and service users and be able to communicate effectively with sensitivity and compassion. They should be able to work independently within their sphere of nursing while under the supervision of registered nurses. Senior Clinical Support Workers should demonstrate a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific skills and tasks delegated by the registered nurse and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies at UHNM. They will be required to undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent. Key to this role is flexibility with the requirement for staff to work variable shifts over 7 days a week on a week\-by\-week basis within agreed limits
