Senior Children's Support Worker/Team Leader

MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A RESIDENTIAL CHILDREN'S HOME

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to implement care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.

Duties

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.


• Develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual.


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.


• Provide support in childcare settings, including supervising activities and ensuring a safe environment.


• Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in behaviour or condition.


• Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring they arrive safely and on time.


• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.


• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role is desirable.


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.


• Familiarity with developing care plans is advantageous.


• A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as necessary.


• Basic IT skills are required for record keeping and communication tasks.


• A caring attitude with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others is essential.
