Milford Care are looking for a permanent Care Leader to join our fantastic, hard\-working team at Milford House care home. Care leaders have responsibility for all aspects of the daily operation of care delivery and must ensure that it is in keeping with the style and service as laid down by the senior management. You would work with a team of care assistants to ensure high quality care is delivered to our residents.
Milford House offers exceptional care within a beautiful grade II listed Georgian manor house close to Duffield and Belper.
Details of this Care Leader position and what the home is offering:
· Permanent, full\-time Care Leader contract, working 6 to 13\.5 hour shifts.
· Rate of pay is £14\.29 per hour

What We Are Looking For In a Care Leader:
· NVQ Level 3 in Adult Health and Social Care (or at least working towards completing)
· Some experience working in a UK nursing home setting is required, but training will be provided. You will have a keen interest in working in older peoples’ services.
· A flexible approach to shift patterns and able to adhere to a 7 day rota
· You will be compassionate and respectful and able to build relationships with colleagues and those that you care for
Purpose of Position:· Support the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in order to ensure that the Home complies with the relevant Act and all other legislation applicable to the Home.
· To control and give any medication as prescribed with proper monitoring of the drug, dose, time, route and person to whom it is given, following the Medication Policy and Procedure laid out in the Quality Manual.
· Ensure medication documentation is completed with 100% accuracy at all times.
· Undertake annual Medication competency
· Liaise with Doctors in respect of medical condition / treatment for Residents.
· Liaise with resident’s next of kin and ensure that they are informed of any changes to health/condition and kept abreast of any accidents or incidents.
· Support the Deputy Manager /Registered Manager in ensuring that care staff supervisions, performance appraisals and assessments are carried out and followed up on in order to identify and promote appropriate training and/or individual achievement requirements
· Take overall responsibility for the daily routine of the shift whilst liaising with the Registered Nurses.
· Mentor new care assistants and team leaders as required
