Role Description This is a full\-time, Senior Accountant / Client Manager role based in Telford, Shropshire. The role involves managing a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their primary point of contact for accounting, tax, and general business advisory matters. The role also includes assisting the directors to manage the personal tax compliance service provided to clients.
Day\-to\-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation and personal tax computations. The Senior Accountant / Client Manager will help to oversee workflow, review work prepared by team members, and ensure all filings meet regulatory deadlines and quality standards. The role also includes supporting clients in various aspects as well as identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies and process improvements. Participation in client meetings, liaising with HMRC and other external stakeholders, and contributing to internal process enhancements are also key elements of this position.

Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including preparation and review of statutory and management accounts, and supporting schedules.
- Proficiency in tax compliance and planning, including corporation tax, personal tax, and awareness of current UK tax regulations.
- Competence with accounting and tax software, spreadsheets, and general office applications; ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior team members, supporting their professional development.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information to non\-specialists.
- Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA or equivalent), or finalist with substantial relevant practice experience.
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment is highly desirable; experience with SMEs and owner\-managed businesses is an advantage.

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
