Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking to employ 4 vigilant and professional Security operatives for an exciting new comtract to work as an on site team.

Role to include to oversee access control and ensure the safety of premises and patrons. The ideal candidates will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence. This role involves monitoring CCTV systems, report writing, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention measures to maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage entry and exit points, verifying identification and adherence to site policies


• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity within and around the premises


• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and unauthorised access


• Respond promptly to any security breaches or disturbances, ensuring safety for all individuals on site


• Provide first aid assistance when necessary, following established protocols


• Maintain a visible presence to deter undesirable behaviour and uphold venue standards


• Record incidents accurately in security logs and report any concerns to management


• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts

Requirements

• Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous


• Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques


• Valid first aid certification or willingness to undertake training prior to employment


• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious activity promptly


• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour


• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations effectively


• Must be physically fit with the ability to stay alert for extended periods and perform basic physical tasks


• Shift patterns to fill as follows


• Shift 1 \- 0700\-1900


• Shift 2 \- 1900\-0700


• Flexibility to cover holiday and sickness also.


• Must possess SIA accredited licensing \- Security Guarding / Door Supervisor, CCTV Operator license ideal or able to obtain.
