Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel, visitors and members of the public. This role involves monitoring premises through surveillance, ensuring loss prevention, and responding to emergencies as needed. A strong understanding of security protocols and the ability to act decisively in various situations are essential.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off day shifts 05:30\-17:30 \+ additional shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect and respond to suspicious activities.


• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security.


• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.


• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid when necessary.


• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and actions taken.


• Liaise with local law enforcement when required, maintaining a professional relationship.


• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.


• Deal directly with members of the public

• Previous experience in a security role is essential.


• Familiarity with surveillance equipment is advantageous.


• Strong observational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for reporting incidents clearly.

• Valid frontline SIA licence.


• Strong communication and conflict management skills.


• Experience dealing with members of the public in a public facing role.


• Have the physical fitness and right mental attitude to comply with all requirements at each given site (regular foot patrols, excellent written and verbal communication skills)

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
