We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our growing team.
iFacility delivers security solutions for leading UK brands across retail, hospitality and manufacturing. If you're passionate about CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- You will be responsible for the management of our engineering team across the UK
- You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth running of our installation, maintenance, and servicing of iFacility products
- You will meet engineers on site to ensure that the installation has been carried out to the highest standards and give feedback on performance
- You will need to have experience of installing within a security engineering business, to be able to offer guidance and support with software issues, technical queries, or installation, maintenance, and service issues
- Using our in\-house systems, you will be responsible for coordinating the allocation of work to all the engineers every week. This will involve liaising with the customer coordinators for installs across our business.
- You will be responsible for assessing the skills and knowledge of our engineers to allocate the correct engineer to the right job allocation every week
- · You will support engineers by auditing their standards of work and offering training, support, and guidance where required
- · You will have experience working within an NSI compliance business
- · You will be responsible for working with the QSHE representative to ensure engineers comply with all Health \& Safety standards
- · You will be involved in the recruitment of engineers and responsible for the onboarding of engineers, including the van, equipment, and uniform for new starters
- You will use your expertise from having been a security or installation and support engineer to oversee the Induction, training, and development of our engineers
- Using in\-house systems, you will monitor the use of the Company van, fleet maintenance, authorisation of holidays, overtime, and out\-of\-hours working.
- You will have experience auditing employees, maintaining equipment, training records, and carrying out probationary and performance reviews, and carrying out disciplinary hearings if required
- Track installation progress and ensure all activities are completed within agreed timescales
- Liaise with engineers, suppliers and customers to coordinate resources and site requirements
- Monitor outstanding actions and ensure timely completion of maintenance and service activities
- Assist with continuous improvement of service processes and administrative systems
- Support the wider team with project coordination and operational activities as required
- Work closely with the Customer Delivery Manager to prepare for new business
- Adhere to and ensure the correct implementation of Company policies and procedures
- Participate in in\-house or external training activities or audits, including certification and H\&S training as required
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Security Engineer or Installation and Support Engineer
- Experience of working within a Security Business or Retail sector
- Demonstrate Team Management
- Demonstrate the ability to manage self and team in a cross\-department organisation and communicate with IT Technical Teams and Sales
- Experience of working in a senior role and working alongside other senior managers
- Presenting and attending management meetings
- Excellent team\-building and motivational skills
- IT literate, with planning and organisational skills
- Management skills, training and coaching skills
- Ability to multitask and manage your workload efficiently, working to deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, confident communicator, customer\-focused, with a natural ability to build trust across teams
- Confident in delivering skills and knowledge to a wider team
