School Cleaner (part-time)

We are looking for experienced cleaners to join our team at a local school in Gainsborough.
Working between 4\.30pm to 7pm Monday \- Friday during term time, with additional cleaning to be completed out of term..

The basic rate of pay is £12\.71 per hour.

Working in Schools / Colleges : If you work in these types of sites, you will receive equated pay in order to receive monthly payments throughout the year. You will be provided information on how this is calculated.

SUMMARY OF MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Title: Part Time Cleaner

Reports to: Site Supervisor

Job Purpose: To provide efficient and effective cleaning to the assigned workplace. Ensure that that the cleanliness and general appearance of the building is maintained in accordance with the required standards and specific site requirements.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
Dusting, damp wiping, washing or polishing equipment, furniture, ledges, window sills and external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, mirrors, shelves and fitments in line with the cleaning schedule.
Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) if required
Cleaning showers, toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
Using cleaning products as directed by the Supervisor or Manager
Operate relevant equipment safely
Maintain tidy and organised work spaces and storage areas
Check equipment / machinery used and ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to
Work effectively in a team or on own
Keep a check on cleaning stock levels and report on low stock levels
Carry out routine administrative tasks required. These may be in paper or electronic form. eg. checking off cleaning tasks on daily cleaning specification sheets and completing time sheets
There may be particular duties other than those given in the job description for the post. Such variations are a common occurrence and would not themselves justify the re\-evaluation of the post. In cases, however, where a permanent and substantial change in duties and responsibilities of the post occurs, consistent with a higher level of responsibility, then the post would be eligible for re\-evaluation
