School Caretaker
Job Summary

We are seeking to appoint a proactive, reliable and highly motivated Caretaker who takes real pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our children, staff and families.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our school buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard. Duties will include site security, general maintenance and repairs, health and safety checks, supporting contractors, porterage and responding to day\-to\-day site issues.
The Successful candidate will:
· Be conscientious and hardworking
· Have high standards and take a pride in their work
· Be punctual and reliable
· Be able to carry out basic maintenance and have proven DIY and repair skills enabling maintenance tasks to be undertaken
· Be able to identify and prioritise their own workload, approaching all tasks with a “can do” attitude
· Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the whole site
· Be responsible for the day to day security of the site
· Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to
· be able to engage and manage external contractors
· Have excellent communication skills
