Rotational Pharmacy Technician

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician with strong problem solving skills that is self\-motivated and organised to form part of our pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our pharmacy team during a transformative period as we implement Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA).

As one of the team of Rotational Pharmacy Technicians you will have the opportunity to gain experience including the following and much more:

Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets

Providing a theatre CD top up and replenishment service

Gaining experience in IT Systems including Ascribe, Automated dispensing (RSUH) \& Prescription Tracking

Maintaining good stock control of medicines

Medicines optimisation on wards

Supporting and training staff

You must be a team player with the ability to work flexibly and react positively to change. Essential skills include an eye for detail, high level of accuracy and knowing the limitations of the role. You must be able to follow written procedures, work under supervision and complete tasks accurately to set deadlines.
