ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sample Inventory \& Warehouse Manager to lead the day\-to\-day operation of our sample warehouse.
This role is central to ensuring that our clients, showrooms, and teams receive the products they need when they need them, with the exceptional attention to detail that defines the Schumacher experience.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will oversee inventory accuracy, fulfilment performance, warehouse operations, and team coordination. You will be the person who keeps everything moving smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring that every sample sent out reflects the quality, care, and reliability our brand is known for.
YOU WILL:
- Oversee the daily operation of the sample warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows,
- Ensure all incoming stock is received, checked, and recorded accurately, maintaining
- Maintain accurate inventory records, proactively identifying discrepancies, risks, and
- Create and maintain an organised warehouse environment that supports efficiency,
- Ensure all sample orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Prioritise fulfilment activities to meet service expectations and maintain momentum on outstanding orders.
- Monitor stock availability and collaborate with the Operations Manager to address recurring inventory gaps.
- Lead and support the warehouse team through clear direction, coaching, and day\-to\-day guidance.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative working environment.
- Coordinate shipping activities across the UK and Europe, ensuring smooth delivery and timely issue resolution.
- Ensure shipping documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with operational requirements.
- Monitor packaging inventory and ensure materials are always available to support fulfilment demands.
- Produce operational reporting that provides visibility into inventory, dispatch performance, and productivity.
- Identify practical process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
- Champion a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment at all times.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfilment, or logistics leadership.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience supervising or coordinating warehouse teams and creating a positive team culture.
- A proactive approach to problem\-solving and continuous improvement. Confidence working with inventory systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- The ability to anticipate operational challenges and take action before they impact performance.
