Established in 1968, we are a respected British manufacturer serving a wide range of markets including Leisure Marine, Commercial Marine, Height Safety, Lifting, Industrial Applications and Technical Cords.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate and commercially driven Sales Manager \- Leisure Marine to lead the development of this important sector and help shape its future success.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a sailing enthusiast with strong commercial experience to take ownership of our Leisure Marine division, covering:
- Cruising Ropes
- Dinghy Ropes
- Mooring Solutions
- OEM \& Retail Markets
- Classic Marine
- Racing Applications
- Superyacht Rope Solutions
The role combines strategic sales leadership with hands\-on customer engagement and will suit someone who enjoys building long\-term partnerships within the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth across domestic and export markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and new prospects.
- Create and implement strategic account and call plans.
- Increase brand awareness and market presence within the leisure marine sector.
- Follow up quotations through customer visits and technical consultation.
- Plan and execute promotional and marketing activities in conjunction with the marketing department.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and business development strategy.
- Lead and develop a small team.
- Produce regular sales and performance reports.
- Maintain accurate customer information within the CRM system.
- Collaborate with customer service, marketing, product development, and production teams to achieve business objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of marine knowledge, commercial expertise and relationship\-building skills.
Essential:
- Passion for sailing and the leisure marine industry
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical sales environment
- Experience developing customer relationships and driving sales growth
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product information
- CRM experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Eligibility to work permanently in the UK
- Qualification in Leisure Marine, Engineering, or a related discipline (Degree, HND, HNC, NVQ or equivalent)
- Marine industry sales experience
- Export sales experience
- Experience managing or developing a small team
- Additional language skills

Working Hours
Monday to Friday 08:30am \- 5:30pm. This position is based in Malvern; however, frequent UK and international travel, customer visits, trade exhibitions, and occasional overnight stays will be required. Flexibility to work outside standard hours may be necessary to support business activities and events.
