Business Development Manager – Truck \& Trailer Sector / Commercial Vehicles

To support our continued growth in the UK market, we are looking for a driven Business Development Manager focused on the truck and trailer sector.

The role

As Business Development Manager, you will be the face of Ripca in the market. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships within the truck and trailer industry across England. You will visit existing and prospective customers, identify commercial opportunities, and turn these into long\-term partnerships.

You will work closely with colleagues in the UK, as well as with our team and warehouse in the Netherlands, ensuring customers receive expert advice, fast follow\-up, and a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships within the truck and trailer sector across England.

  • Visit existing and prospective customers, including dealers, workshops, bodybuilders, trailer manufacturers, and fleet\-related organisations.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the market.

  • Proactively approach new customers and build long\-term relationships.

  • Advise customers on products and applications relating to electrical components.

  • Prepare and follow up quotations, and lead commercial discussions and negotiations.

  • Monitor market developments, customer needs, and trends within the sector.

  • Work closely with sales and sales support colleagues in both the UK and the Netherlands.
What we are looking for
  • Experience in a field sales or business development role, ideally within the truck, trailer, automotive, or technical sector.

  • Affinity with technical products and/or electrical components.

  • Proven experience in account management and new business development.

  • Strong commercial, communication, and relationship\-building skills.

  • A self\-motivated, proactive, and results\-driven approach.

  • Good command of the English language.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within England.

  • Full UK driving licence.
