Assistant Warehouse Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands\-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to lead and support our warehouse operations. This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, leading by example, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day\-to\-day warehouse operations, including goods inwards, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch


• Manage, motivate, and support warehouse staff to achieve productivity and accuracy targets


• Be hands\-on in daily tasks when required, especially during busy periods


• Ensure stock control, inventory accuracy, and regular stock checks


• Implement and maintain health \& safety procedures and ensure compliance


• Monitor performance, manage rotas, and support training and development of team members


• Liaise with transport, suppliers, and internal departments to meet delivery deadlines


• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor


• Strong hands\-on approach with the ability to lead from the front


• Excellent people management and communication skills


• Good understanding of warehouse systems and stock management


• Strong knowledge of health \& safety regulations


• Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure


• Forklift licence and warehouse certifications essential
