Sales Assistant

We are looking to recruit a number of sales assistants to join our store retail team. Responsibilities will comprise the day\-to\-day operations of a retail store, ranging from greeting customers to keeping the stock room organised.

We are looking for highly motivated, detail\-orientated people who are great in a fast paced environment. You should be able to work well individually as well as part of a team; you will work closely with the rest of the retail team to ensure a good quality service for our customers

Job Type:

Permanent – Full Time \& Part Time positions available

Working Days:

Five days from six across Monday\-Saturday (plus regular Friday evenings and occasional Sundays depending on match schedules)

Salary:

12\.71 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Store Management team, the role entails the following:

Sales

• Greeting customers


• Processing sales on our till system


• Keeping store stocked and tidy


• Working match days \- working with temporary staff in a larger scale retail environment

Stock Management

• Overseeing the delivery of products/stock from suppliers


• Unpacking, checking in and counting delivered products/stock


• Allocating space and placing stock in relevant area of the stockroom


• Assist in the management of the stock; Keeping store management appraised of stock levels and ensuring that any stock movements or discrepancies are reported and recorded

General Store/Stockroom Operations:

• Working with heavy items/boxes


• Keeping areas tidy and safe.


• Assist in any other duties relating to the store and its operation as requested by the Store Manager.

Personal Specifications

• Experience in delivering excellent customer service.


• Experience in a retail or stock management position.


• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.


• Technology minded; comfortable and experienced with using Microsoft office and email systems.


• A desire to excel in a retail team within the sports industry.


• A strong team player, able to develop great relations with customers and co\-workers alike.


• Ability to work flexibly
