The Card Network is a card services company, supplying custom printed cards, ID card printers and access control products to a very varied customer base throughout the UK. We back this up with secure fulfilment and mailing services for national membership schemes, ID card schemes and EV Charge card suppliers.
This is a junior role, ideal for you if you have some B2B sales experience are are looking for the opportunity to develop your business development skills in a supportive team environment.
About the role
This is a varied sales, business development and admin role supporting our small but busy Sales and Customer Service team, with an emphasis on multi\-tasking.
The priority will be making the most out of every sales enquiry, whether that’s responding to inbound sales leads to identifying opportunities to upsell and cross\-sell products to our existing customer base.
You’ll be supported to learn about all aspects of the sales process and will be encouraged to engage with customers and develop long\-term relationships in the future. This is the start of the path to becoming a Sales Executive with your own portfolio of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to sales enquiries via telephone, email and web chat.
- Process customer orders and manage interactions and opportunities through the CRM system.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross\-sell products and services.
- Manage a busy post\-sales inbox, responding promptly to customer queries.
- Prepare quotations and recommend appropriate solutions based on customer requirements.
- Develop relationships within existing customer accounts to generate repeat business.
- Work towards individual and team KPIs and targets.
You’ll likely have started your career journey into business development/sales, but you’re eager for the opportunity to learn and progress, in time, to a position of managing your own accounts.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a B2B sales role (essential).
- Strong IT skills and confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management skills and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A proactive, positive and self\-motivated approach.
- Good commercial awareness and resilience.
- Experience working towards deadlines, KPIs and targets.
