Warehouse Operative

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the safe handling and movement of goods. Duties

• Handling materials efficiently and safely across the warehouse


• Performing checks on materials


• Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery in accordance with health and safety regulations


• Managing stock levels using a Warehouse Management System/ERP systems to ensure accurate inventory records


• Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries


• Picking and packing orders parts to enter production process


• Restocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation


• Conducting quality control checks on goods to maintain high standards


• Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting


• Ensuring the workspace is clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in a warehouse environment or similar logistics role is preferred


• Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures


• Experience operating forklifts (certification is advantageous)


• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems or ERP systems


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently


• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy


• Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks throughout the shift


• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or evenings if necessary

Pay: £28,500\.00\-£29,500\.00 per year
