Suburb is thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of its first bar \& restaurant in Meadowhall, Sheffield, and we’re looking for a motivated and skilled Restaurant Manager who will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily front of house and back of house operations
- Supervise and co\-ordinate the activities of staff to ensure efficient operations
- Train and mentor new employees providing guidance on job duties and company policies
- Ensure all employees follow company policies and procedures
- Monitor food service and production processes to ensure quality and assurance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all areas
- Enforce health and safety practices, sanitation standards and safe food handling procedures
- Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Manage all bookings and enquiries via telephone, email and online platform and deliveries
- Order supplies, manage inventory levels and liaise with vendors
- Set budgets and manage payroll
- Create staff rotas
- Have a flexible approach to working hours and duties
- Act as an ambassador for the company and present a professional image at all times
- Treat customers and colleagues fairly and with respect, value the diversity of others and work proactively to overcome communication barriers
- Adhere to safe working practices and to the health and safety policy and procedures and food safety
- Provide highest standard of customer service
- Promote, communicate and support the company’s vision and values to all
- Follow the company’s policies such as race and disability and equal opportunities to provide a consistent and excellent service
- You may also be requested to carry out other non\-specific duties reasonably required for the success of the business as a whole
- Previous managing experience
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with a wide range of customers
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent ability to use own initiative
- Ability to lead a team and motivate staff
- Understanding of business management
- Ability to handle high\-pressure situations and resolve issues promptly

£13\.50 \- £15\.00 per hour, depending on experience
