Residential Child Care worker Nights (Full time/ Part Time)

We provide residential care for young people aged 10 to 21 and are looking for Night Shift Care Workers in our three\-bed care homes near Drongan or Alloway.

We provide a homely, safe and supportive environment and promote responsibility, growth, learning and positive outcomes for young people who come to stay with us.

As part of a team, you will provide day\-to\-day care, support and direction to young people with challenging emotional and behavioural needs. The role requires you to work with national childcare practice and use planned activities as a medium for healing. It also requires that...

You will be able to work

Full time 8pm to 8am shifts, (14 shifts in every 4 week rota). Salary from £14\.45 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Whilst previous experience would be desirable, excellent support skills, the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills


• Experience working with children or in a support environment


• Valid driver's license and experience of driving


• Familiarity with IT systems such as word


• Ability to work awake night shifts in a residential childcare setting
