Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our independent practice in Glasgow. In this vital role, you will provide high\-quality nursing care, support veterinarians in clinical procedures, and ensure the well\-being of our animal patients. Your expertise will help deliver compassionate, efficient, and professional veterinary services that make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Full time, 30\-40 hours, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. No out of hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with confidence and precision.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinary team.
- Monitor anesthesia and recovery processes, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and other diagnostics, to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain detailed medical records for each patient, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Educate pet owners on post\-treatment care, preventive health measures, and nutrition advice.
- Manage clinical stock levels, sterilize equipment, and uphold strict hygiene protocols to maintain a safe environment for animals and staff.
- Registered with the relevant veterinary nursing regulatory body.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners, colleagues, and external partners.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a caring attitude towards animals and clients.
