The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN/ODP with over 3 years’ experience scrubbing and leading a team in General Surgery and/or ENT specialties. In addition the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the planning and development of the New Monklands Hospital. Informal enquiries to Mary Crombie 01236 712404\.
In this key role, you will:
- Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients to ensure delivery of a high standard of care.
- Responsible for the assessment and initiation of advanced care needs within the Perioperative environment
- To maintain effective communications with patients, relatives and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that appropriate information is shared and patient needs are met.
- To monitor standards of care within the defined policies, procedures, standards and protocols of the Department, Directorate, Division and Professional Bodies and report outcomes to senior staff to enable monitoring of standards of care
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration/SVQIII in Operating Department Practice/Diploma in Operating Department Practice
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
