About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager with a proven track record of successfully turning around underperforming services (Currently Requires Improvement) and driving quality improvements within nursing and residential care settings.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to improve compliance, clinical outcomes, occupancy, staff performance, and overall service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong clinical and operational leadership to the nursing team.
- Lead service improvement and turnaround programmes.
- Improve CQC compliance and support services through inspections and regulatory visits.
- Drive improvements in medication management, clinical governance, care planning, and risk management.
- Develop, mentor, and support nursing and care teams to achieve high standards of care.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including incidents, falls, pressure damage, hospital admissions, and staffing metrics.
- Conduct audits and implement action plans to address identified concerns.
- Support recruitment, retention, supervision, competency assessments, and performance management.
- Work collaboratively with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and commissioners.
- Ensure person\-centred care remains at the heart of service delivery.
- Support occupancy growth through maintaining excellent clinical standards and reputation.
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC PIN.
- Previous experience as a Registered CQC Manager.
- Demonstrable experience improving services, managing change, and achieving positive inspection outcomes.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards, and safeguarding requirements.
- Experience managing investigations, complaints, and quality improvement plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to challenge poor practice and drive accountability.
- Experience supporting services rated "Requires Improvement" or "Inadequate."
- Multi\-site or turnaround experience.
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
- Experience working with nursing, dementia, complex care, or challenging behaviour services.
