Summary
The Governors of Padiham Green CE Primary School are seeking to appoint two caring, enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated Pupil Support Workers to work with SEN pupils from September 2026\.
We wish to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Pupil Support Workers to join our kind and caring team and to work closely with our SENDCo and class teachers to support our SEN children primarily on a 1:1 basis in our inclusive and friendly school, where children are encouraged to Love, Learn and Shine and act with a kind heart. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to support the progress and achievements of individual children with additional needs across the primary phases. They will have a passion for and experience of working with pupils across a range of additional needs working within Targeted Learning Plans and Educational Health Care Plans.
The successful candidate will be kind, caring, enthusiastic and have the ability to maintain positive appropriate relationships with pupils. They will be proactive, able to work off their own initiative and model good practice in SEND provision. Working closely with the class teachers and SENDCo, the success candidate will:
- Maintain a positive and nurturing relationship with the pupils they support. Enabling them to Love, Learn and Shine
- Support learning in and out of the classroom under the direction of the class teacher / SENDCo.
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of individualised support interventions delivering them independently across the week and promoting the development of independence over time.
- Deliver a mixture of 1:1 and small group learning activities in such a way that facilitates engagement and learning.
- Support and develop social and behavioural skills. Helping to maintain personal safety of themselves and pupils.

This position is part time, term time only and temporary, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
