Registered Children's Home Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a children’s residential care facility. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, well\-being, and development of children in your care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your leadership will foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive, and your management skills will drive high\-quality service delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives through compassionate, professional care. Have a level 3 and 5 in residential child care (be working towards a Level 5\)
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of the children’s home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for residents
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including those with complex emotional or behavioral challenges
- Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance on best practices in child care, safeguarding, and behavior management
- Oversee medication administration and health\-related procedures in accordance with legal and organizational guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to children’s residential care and maintain accurate records of care activities
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies to promote collaborative support networks
- Manage the home’s budget, resources, and staffing schedules to ensure operational efficiency and high standards of care
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a focus on senior or child care settings
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care home or similar setting
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that address individual needs effectively
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols for children in residential care
- Experience working with children who have special needs such as dementia\-related conditions or emotional behavioral challenges
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with staff, families, regulatory bodies, and external agencies
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
