REFUSE LOADER / DRIVER

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Loader/ Driver to join our Recycling team. The ideal candidate will be working on our London Borough of Hillingdon waste bins contract, contributing to our commitment to excellent service and operational efficiency. This position requires a combination of physical stamina, mechanical knowledge, and effective communication skills to facilitate smooth logistics operations.

This position is for currently 16 hours per week but additional work may be available on other work within the contract as well as providing holiday/ sickness cover as required.

Duties

• Drive safely and follow a route to collect dog waste bins with another team member. Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring safe handling and proper placement.


• Transport waste to recycling/disposal facilities and operate the vehicle safely within these sites.


• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery and receipt of products.


• Conduct inspections of loading equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.


• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.


• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding loading schedules.

• Previous experience as a driver.


• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential.


• Mechanical knowledge is an asset, particularly in relation to the operation of loading equipment.


• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective teamwork and coordination.


• Experience driving up to 3\.5 tonne lorries will be considered an advantage. Join us in this vital role where your skills will contribute significantly to our operations and customer satisfaction.

Pay: £14\.00\-£18\.32 per hour
