Refrigeration Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems across various facilities. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.


• Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, then execute repairs efficiently.


• Lead maintenance projects, coordinating with other team members and contractors as necessary.


• Install new refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.


• Repair and troubleshoot complex refrigeration units, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems.


• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.


• Assist in construction or upgrade projects involving refrigeration infrastructure.


• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff or apprentices when required.

• Proven experience in mechanical knowledge related to refrigeration, air conditioning, and equipment repair.


• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.


• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing maintenance teams or projects.


• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.


• Knowledge of construction processes related to installing or upgrading refrigeration infrastructure is desirable.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).
