Commercial Operations Manager – RVC Students’ Union

Are you a commercially driven manager with a track record of growing revenue and leading successful operations? We are looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to lead and develop our Students’ Union commercial services.
This is a hands\-on role where you will grow income, manage venues, and deliver activity that drives engagement and sales—including events, promotions, and partnerships.
The Role
You Will:
- Lead day\-to\-day operations of SU bars and commercial outlets.
- Drive income growth and financial performance.
- Develop new revenue streams (partnerships, sponsorships, merchandise)
- Deliver events and promotions that increase footfall and sales.
- Manage budgets, performance, and compliance.
- Lead and develop student and casual staff.
- Experience in commercial operations (hospitality, retail, or similar)
- Strong track record of growing revenue and hitting targets.
- Experience delivering income\-generating activity (events, promotions, or campaigns)
- Strong financial, organisational, and leadership skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
- Real ownership of a growing commercial function
