Receptionist

As a receptionist, you will work closely with patients and colleagues in a professional and welcoming environment. You will be responsible for booking appointments and handling patient enquiries, while also maintaining an office that is comfortable and safe for our staff and patients. We are looking for someone who is dependable, motivated and who has a friendly personality and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will also have experience using software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Emis Web preferred but not essential.
Working Hours 17\.5 Hours
Monday AM or PM
Tuesday Open (8\.00 \- 12\.00\)
Wednesday Close (14\.00 \- 18\.30\)
Thursday off
Friday close (13\.00 \- 18\.30\)
Hours to be agreed in line with practice requirements, including flexibility to cover holidays and sickness where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls
- Book appointments, process repeat prescriptions
- Greet and direct visitors.
- Manage patient records
- Additional duties Refer, code, liaise with hospitals and other professional organisation's
- Distribute mail and sort as necessary.
- Answer general inquiries.
- GP/ medical experience preferred but not required as training provided
Pay: £12\.75 per hour
