Salary between £13\.25 \- £15\.14 per hour depending on experience

Copper \& Optic are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their existing Quality Team. Based in Stoke\-on\-Trent, Copper \& Optic are manufacturers of sub\-contract cable harness assemblies to a variety of sectors including the Aerospace industry.

Duties will include inspection and testing of electrical / mechanical products using both automated and manual test methods.

This position would suit a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and an aptitude for technical work. Previous inspection or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

We are primarily seeking someone who can understand technical requirements, think logically, work independently, and apply quality standards consistently.

The candidate:

\- Must have a basic understanding of electrical principles and electrical test equipment (e.g. resistance, voltage, use of a multimeter etc…)

\- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to make objective pass/fail decisions against defined acceptance criteria.

\- Must be adaptable and capable of working flexibly to meet customer deadlines

\- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office)

\- Must be an effective communicator

\- Should have experience or familiarity with electrical or mechanical applications through work, education or hobbies

\- Should be capable of reading and understand technical drawings and specifications

\- Should be capable of applying a logical approach to investigating and resolving product test failures

\- Should be willing to assist with quality investigations and contribute to identifying causes of product non\-conformances

\- Awareness of IPC standards would be advantageous (although full training and certification is provided)
