Looking for a Quality Engineer role where you can make a real impact?
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to take ownership of quality activities across our manufacturing operation. This is a hands\-on role with real authority, offering the opportunity to drive improvements, lead investigations, develop quality systems, and work directly with customers, suppliers, and production teams.
You'll play a key role in reducing scrap and rework, improving processes, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring we continue to meet the high standards expected by our customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading customer complaint investigations and producing high\-quality 8D reports
- Driving root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are effective and sustained
- Managing and improving control plans, inspection processes and quality documentation
- Taking ownership of our CMM and wider metrology capability
- Supporting and maintaining our ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Managing supplier quality, including overseas suppliers
- Supporting new product introduction activities
- Developing and supporting our Quality Inspector
- Working closely with production teams to reduce scrap, rework and waste
- Driving continuous improvement projects across the business
- Proven Quality Engineer experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong experience producing customer\-facing 8D reports
- Excellent root cause analysis and problem\-solving skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD\&T
- Practical metrology experience, including CMM operation and programming
- Good working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliers
- A proactive, self\-motivated approach with the ability to take ownership of issues through to completion
- Strong communication skills and a hands\-on attitude
- CNC machining or precision engineering environment
- Supplier quality management, particularly overseas suppliers
- PPAP, FAIR, APQP or FMEA
- Internal auditing
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- ERP/MRP systems
