Hours: 30 hrs per week (TTO) \+ 2 days

The Medical Needs and Hospital Education Service provides education and welfare for all children of compulsory school age residing in the Bradford Local Authority area who cannot attend full time school due to health and medical needs. Our provision is based at Owlet Road in Shipley, Airedale General Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary.

We have a vacancy for an Education Engagement Worker and are looking for someone to fulfil this role and become a valued member of our team. The right candidate will be able to effectively support learning and engage children and young people, encouraging them back into education after physical or mental health issues. Effective training will be provided where necessary. The position is based at Owlet Road in Shipley but there is a requirement to travel to homes and schools in the Bradford district.

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

Car use is essential to this car and the successful candidate must have a driving licence and car.

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
