As an experienced Quality Engineer you will lead the resolution of product quality issues and drive improvements through analysis, problem\-solving and collaboration. Monitor and interpret quality performance measures.

Role Details:

• Annual salary up to £40,000 \- dependent on skills and experience.


• On\-target annual bonus of up to 5%, with the potential to earn up to a maximum of 10% based on business and departmental performance


• Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT


• Permanent


• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.

In this role you will be required to:

• Problem\-solve quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing opportunities for improvement.


• Measure, verify and inspect materials to ensure compliance with specifications.


• Undertake internal supplier and process audits and support external audits, ensuring non\-conformities or observations are closed out.


• Act as a Quality ambassador by delivering training, coaching and sharing best practice across teams.


• Coordinate cross\-functional problem\-solving activities, facilitating meetings and driving actions.


• Create reports and presentation materials, providing quality analysis and supporting senior\-level quality reviews.


• Liaise between departments and engage with suppliers and the supply chain on quality matters.


• Complete quality reports, problem escalations and concession documentation, supporting stakeholders to do the same.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Acts as an ambassador for Quality, including training, coaching, sharing best practice and generally supporting at all levels


• Ability to read and understand design, engineering, manufacturing and measurement, including the ability to read drawings, apply geometric tolerancing and use measurement techniques.


• Has knowledge of Quality Systems e.g. ISO9001


• Understands problems solving and continuous improvement techniques


• Experience of data collection and analysis


• HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent


• A full UK driving licence


• Experience of data analysis, statistical techniques and presentation skills


• Experience of problem solving, root cause analysis with knowledge of continuous process improvement
