Quality Assurance Technician

As our business continues to grow, we're looking to expand our Technical Team with a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician who will support our commitment to excellence across food safety, quality, and compliance.

Hours of Role: Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm

About the Role:

Reporting to the Technical Manager and working closely with the wider technical and production teams, the QA Technician will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily quality checks throughout the production process


• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (BRC, HACCP, etc.)


• Investigate and report non\-conformances, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions


• Maintain accurate and timely records of checks and audits


• Assist in traceability exercises and internal audits


• Support the Technical Manager with preparation for external audits and customer visits


• Help manage specifications, allergen controls, and product labelling accuracy


• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site

• Previous QA or technical experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred


• Good understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and quality systems


• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments


• Computer literacy and experience with documentation and data logging


• A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for quality and food safety
