Job Summary

We are seeking a Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a registered community pharmacist, supporting the safe and efficient dispensing of prescriptions and delivery of pharmacy services.

This is a 35 hours per week position, Monday to Saturday, including 2 late shifts per week.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Taking in and handing out prescriptions


• Dispensing prescriptions accurately on a daily basis


• Using pharmacy computer systems to generate labels, stock lists, and re\-order stock


• Receiving, unpacking, and checking deliveries from suppliers


• Delivering repeat prescription requests (within walking distance) to medical centres and collecting prescriptions


• Selling over\-the\-counter medicines and advising patients appropriately


• Answering customer queries face\-to\-face and over the phone


• Pre\-packing, assembling, and labelling medicines


• Preparing medicines under the supervision of the pharmacist


• Referring any problems or queries to the pharmacist when necessary


• Cleaning the pharmacy and conducting stock date checks


• Cashing up the till on a daily basis

Essential:

• Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser


• Minimum of 1 year community pharmacy experience


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to work well within a team and independently

• A desire to progress within the pharmaceutical industry

Pay: £12\.71\-£13\.00 per hour
