Nursery Lunchtime Supervisor

Do you enjoy working with young children and supporting positive mealtime experiences?

We are looking for a caring, patient, and reliable Level 3 Qualified Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly nursery team. This important role supports children during mealtimes, helping to ensure they are safe, happy, and well cared for.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting children during lunch periods. You will help create a calm, positive, and inclusive mealtime environment, encouraging good manners, independence, and healthy eating habits while ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervising children during lunch and snack times


• Supporting younger children with eating, drinking, and basic self\-care as needed


• Encouraging positive behaviour, good manners, and social interaction


• Ensuring children’s safety during mealtimes and transitions


• Supporting children with special educational needs and dietary requirements


• Cleaning tables and assisting with basic tidying after meals


• Communicating any concerns to nursery staff or management

• Experience working with young children (nursery, school, or childcare setting preferred)


• A calm, caring, and patient approach


• Ability to manage groups of children positively and safely


• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team


• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities


• First Aid training is desirable but not essential (training can be provided)
