Purchasing Assistant
About the Role
We’re looking for an organised, proactive and detail driven Purchasing Assistant to support the day\-to\-day management of our overseas procurement, manufacturing and importing of kitchen appliances and TVs. You’ll work closely with suppliers and our warehouse team to coordinate orders, keep goods moving and ensure deliveries arrive on time.This role would suit someone who enjoys keeping on top of multiple moving parts and communicating clearly across different teams. You don’t need years of experience. What matters most is a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Enter overseas/Far East purchase orders accurately, then chase and confirm delivery dates, keeping all records up to date.
- Process UK orders and update the tracker to ensure company\-wide visibility of stock movements.
- Support the purchasing team with daily tasks, supplier communications, documentation and follow\-ups.
- Review and update the upcoming orders on Shipping Plan
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory reconciliation to maintain optimal stock.
- Coordinate deliveries with our warehouse to ensure goods are ready to be booked in.
- Follow company processes and procedures (SOPs).
- Keep records and delivery dates accurate and up to date.
- Update the New Product Tracker for new product launches.
- Liaise between Accounts, Warehouse, E\-commerce and suppliers, following company SOPs.
- Provide cover for the shipping and imports function during staff holidays
- Order and manage spare parts to maintain stock and support operations

Beneficial but not essential skills
· 1–2 years’ experience in purchasing/procurement role
· Familiarity with customs and shipping documentation (e.g. Bill of Lading, commercial invoice, packing list, customs/import declarations, certificate of origin)
