Oaktree Support Services is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee our CQC\-regulated 16\-25 residential services.

We provide residential care and support for young adults with a range of complex and individual needs, with a strong focus on independence, quality of life and person\-centred care.

We are looking for somebody who is confident running residential homes, leading staff teams and ensuring consistently high standards across the service.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day\-to\-day management, quality and compliance of our CQC residential homes.

You will work closely with our wider Operations team and senior management, but will take ownership of ensuring the homes are well run, appropriately staffed and continually meeting CQC requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility as the CQC Registered Manager for the service.

  • Overseeing the day\-to\-day running of our residential homes.

  • Leading and supporting Home Managers, Deputies and care teams.

  • Ensuring residents receive high\-quality, safe and person\-centred care.

  • Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.

  • Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and support plans are accurate and regularly reviewed.

  • Monitoring medication management and completing regular medication audits.

  • Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints appropriately.

  • Ensuring all required CQC notifications are completed.

  • Completing regular audits and quality checks within the homes.

  • Ensuring actions identified through audits are completed promptly.

  • Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and development of staff.

  • Monitoring staffing levels, rotas and use of agency staff.

  • Managing sickness, attendance and staff performance alongside HR.

  • Ensuring mandatory training and staff competencies remain up to date.

  • Maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, social workers, commissioners and other professionals.

  • Supporting referrals and new admissions into the homes.

  • Helping maintain strong occupancy across the service.

  • Ensuring the homes are always ready for a CQC inspection.

  • Identifying areas where standards can be improved and taking ownership of making those improvements.
About You

We are looking for somebody who is hands\-on, organised and comfortable taking responsibility. You will need to be visible within the homes and able to build good relationships with residents and staff while also maintaining clear expectations and high standards.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous management experience within a CQC\-regulated residential care service.

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or senior manager within adult social care.

  • Good knowledge of CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.

  • Experience managing staff teams within residential care.

  • Experience with safeguarding, medication, care planning and risk assessments.

  • Experience completing audits and quality assurance checks.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or be willing to complete this.
Previous experience supporting young adults or individuals with complex needs would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Salary, depending on experience.

  • Permanent, full\-time position.

  • Support from an experienced Operations team.

  • HR, recruitment and central administration support.

  • Opportunities to progress as the organisation continues to grow.

  • Company pension.

  • Ongoing training and professional development.
The Person We're Looking For

This role would suit somebody who enjoys actually running services, rather than sitting behind a desk.

We want somebody who knows what is happening in their homes, knows their residents and staff, and is comfortable getting involved when something needs sorting.

You'll need to maintain good compliance and paperwork, but just as importantly, you'll need to create well\-run homes with stable teams and high standards of care.
