Purchasing Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail\-focused Purchasing Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments within a well\-established and growing business.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing function \-supporting stock availability, maintaining supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating and processing accurate purchase orders


• Checking order confirmations (price, quantity and availability)


• Monitoring stock levels in line with sales trends


• Chasing overdue purchase orders and responding to urgent requests


• Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies


• Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery


• Supporting sourcing and development of new suppliers


• Adjusting orders to achieve cost savings through bulk purchasing


• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring departmental procedures are followed


• Supporting ISO 9001 quality standards and continuous improvement

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy


• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)


• Confident working with IT systems and multiple screens


• Strong numerical and problem\-solving ability


• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload


• A proactive, hands\-on approach and ability to work independently


• Professional and confident when liaising with suppliers


• A team player with a collaborative mindset

Pay: £25,610\.65 per year
