We're looking for an experienced Project / Programme Planner to support on a major Government programme.

The role sits within the Technology area of the programme. There are two key parts to the wider piece of work, and they need someone who can take the different plans, activities and dependencies across both and bring them together into a clear, joined-up programme plan.

This isn't just someone maintaining dates and updating a tracker. They need someone who can actively engage with teams across all areas, understand what's happening across the different workstreams, challenge where information is missing and make sure there is a clear overall view of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring together multiple project and workstream plans into a consolidated programme view

  • Build, maintain and manage plans using Microsoft Planner

  • Work across the two key areas of the programme to understand activities, milestones and dependencies

  • Track progress against plans and ensure information remains accurate and up to date

  • Identify dependencies, risks, gaps and potential delivery conflicts across workstreams

  • Engage directly with stakeholders across all areas of the project

  • Gather updates from different teams and turn these into a clear overall picture of programme delivery

  • Support programme-level planning, reporting and governance

  • Help ensure teams understand upcoming milestones, dependencies and delivery priorities

  • Communicate changes, issues and potential impacts clearly to programme stakeholders

What We're Looking For
  • Strong experience as a Project Planner, Programme Planner or Planning Manager

  • Experience bringing together multiple plans/workstreams into an integrated programme plan

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Planner

  • Experience working across complex programmes with multiple teams and dependencies

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Comfortable proactively chasing, challenging and coordinating information from different teams

  • Strong understanding of milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery planning

  • Able to work effectively between client and consultancy teams

  • Previous experience within large-scale technology, data or transformation programmes would be beneficial

  • Central Government experience would be advantageous
