Project Manager (Construction) — 24-month fixed-term contract

The Project
build\-out of a upgrade of a commercial fermentation facility — process, utilities, refrigeration, HV/LV electrical, structural and civils. Currently in active design and procurement. You come in to run delivery through construction, commissioning and handover.
What you'll own
- Programme: master schedule, critical path, weekly look\-ahead, contractor sequencing
- Cost control: tracking committed vs budget, variation and change control, valuations and payment recommendations, monthly cost report
- M\&E coordination: managing the M\&E design consultant and installing contractors — RFIs, services coordination, clash resolution, witnessed testing and commissioning
- Structural and civils: managing the structural engineer and main contractor — inspections, hold points, sign\-offs
- Procurement support: tender packages, bid comparisons, scope gap analysis, subcontractor appointment
- Compliance: PSCS/PSDP interface, site safety, BCAR documentation, ancillary certs, O\&Ms and safety file at handover
- Single weekly report to the MD: programme status, cost position, risks, decisions needed
Design responsibility. M\&E design sits with the appointed consultancy; structural design with the consulting engineer; process design in\-house. You coordinate and hold them to programme and budget.
Requirements
- Degree in construction management, civil/structural or building services engineering
- 3 years delivering industrial, pharma, food or process projects — at least one full cycle from tender to handover
- Demonstrable cost reporting and variation control on a €5m\+ project
- Comfortable reading M\&E and structural drawings and challenging what's on them
- Irish regulatory grounding: Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regs, BCAR
- MS Project or equivalent; strong Excel
- Process/utilities exposure — steam, chilled water, compressed air, CIP, stainless process pipework
- GMP or food\-grade fit\-out; hygienic design awareness
- HV connection or substation project experience
- Chartered or working toward it (Engineers Ireland / SCSI / CIOB)
