Job Description

Are you an experienced Project Director with a proven record of delivering large D\&B infrastructure programmes? You will lead projects from inception to completion \- including metro, aviation, rail, water and highways schemes \- apply best‑practice delivery standards, and work with stakeholders across all levels to drive successful outcomes. Join our Project \& Programme Management team and help close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As Project Director you will be accountable for the successful delivery of major, nationally significant D\&B infrastructure projects in Ireland. You will lead multi‑disciplinary teams, manage commercial performance and client relationships, and ensure projects meet quality, safety and programme targets.

Your key responsibilities

  • Deliver large, multi‑disciplinary D\&B infrastructure projects to time, cost and quality.

  • Define project direction, governance and commercial controls; manage contracts and procurement.

  • Oversee programme and financial performance, including forecasting and risk management.

  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

  • Lead and mentor project teams; establish clear roles and responsibilities.

  • Drive quality, health \& safety and sustainability standards across projects.
About you
  • Significant programme and project delivery experience in senior roles leading complex, major D\&B infrastructure programmes.

  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects from inception to completion, and documenting/applying delivery standards and processes.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead integrated design and delivery teams.

  • Strong leadership and commercial management skills across project, contract, procurement and financial disciplines.

  • Excellent planning, governance and delivery capability; able to set priorities and ensure accountability.

  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder and client management skills.

  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple technical teams and resolve risks and issues.

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (engineering, construction, project management) or equivalent experience; postgraduate qualification advantageous.

  • Chartered membership of a professional body (EI, ICE, APM, IPM, PMI or equivalent).
