Role Overview
Pro\-Fit Green Energy is seeking an experienced Scaffold Project Co\-ordinator to take full responsibility for the end\-to\-end planning, coordination, compliance, inspection, and approval of scaffolding activities. You will act as the central control point, ensuring that no scaffold is accessed until all legal, safety, and compliance requirements have been fully met.
You will have the authority to stop works where standards are not achieved.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Scaffold Planning \& Scheduling (Detailed Control Function)
- Coordinate all scaffold erection, alteration, inspection, and dismantling across multiple sites simultaneously
- Develop, maintain, and continuously update a live scaffold programme aligned with project delivery timelines
- Ensure scaffold requirements are fully integrated into construction programmes and delivery schedules
- Installation sequencing
- Access requirements
- Trade dependencies
- Project milestones
- Initial erection dates
- Inspection dates (pre\-use and ongoing)
- Alterations and modifications
- Dismantling immediately upon completion
- Forecast scaffold demand including labour, materials, and equipment
- Liaise daily with:
- Scaffold contractors
- Project managers / coordinators
- Site managers
- Clients and principal contractors
- Identify delays, clashes, and risks within scaffold scheduling
- Implement corrective actions
- Ensure zero downtime caused by scaffold unavailability or non\-compliance
- Track progress against programme and escalate delays immediately
- Take full ownership of scaffold compliance verification prior to use
- Received in full

You will manage and verify the full compliance pack including:
- Risk Assessments \& Method Statements (RAMS)
- Construction Phase Plans (CPP) (where required)
- Health \& Safety Files (HSF)
- TG20 Compliance Sheets or bespoke design documentation
- Scaffold design drawings and structural calculations (where required)
- Erection, Use and Dismantling Plans (EUD Plans)
- Scaffold handover certificates
- Scaffold inspection reports (pre\-use, 7\-day, post\-alteration)
- Scaffold tagging records (Scafftag or equivalent)
- Gin wheel / lifting accessory certification (if applicable)
- Permits to work (Work at Height, Hot Works, etc.)
- Public highway / local authority permits (if applicable)
- Traffic / pedestrian management plans (where required)
- CISRS competency cards (scaffolders, inspectors, supervisors)
- Training and competency records
- Public Liability Insurance
- Employer’s Liability Insurance
- Equipment inspection records (boards, tubes, fittings)
- PUWER / LOLER records where applicable
- Maintain a centralised document control system and compliance register
- Ensure full traceability, version control, and revision tracking
- Ensure all documentation is uploaded and logged within required timeframes (within 24 hours)
- Prepare documentation for:
- Internal audits
- External audits
- Client reviews
- HSE inspections
- Review photographic evidence of every scaffold installation prior to approval
- Correct scaffold erection and structural integrity
- Adequate edge protection (guardrails, toe boards)
- Safe and compliant ladder access
- Fully boarded and safe working platforms
- Correct scaffold tagging and identification
- Compliance with design drawings or TG20 specifications
- Proper ties, bracing, loading bays, and stability
- Reject scaffolds where:
- Evidence is incomplete
- Quality is insufficient
- Safety concerns are identified
- Escalate all risks, defects, or concerns immediately
- Maintain photographic records as part of the audit trail
The Scaffold Coordinator is the final approval authority before scaffold use.
You must ensure that NO ACCESS is granted until ALL of the following are confirmed:
- Full compliance documentation received and verified
- Photographic evidence reviewed and approved
- Scaffold handover certificate issued
- Internal inspection completed (where required)
- Statutory inspection compliance confirmed
- Client approval obtained (if required)
- Issuing formal written scaffold release approval
- Maintaining records of all approvals issued
- Enforcing a zero\-tolerance approach to unauthorised scaffold access
- Monitor and control all scaffold inspection schedules
- Before first use
- Every 7 days (statutory requirement)
- After:
- Adverse weather
- Alterations
- Damage or incidents
- Verify inspections are completed by competent persons
- Maintain inspection logs and registers
- Track inspection expiry dates and proactively schedule re\-inspections
- Immediately prevent access to expired or non\-compliant scaffolds
- Record defects and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Submit scaffold documentation packs and evidence to clients for approval

- Discuss access requirements
- Identify concerns including:
- Vulnerabilities

- Access restrictions
- Provide contact details for enquiries
Contact residents on the same day to:
- Confirm works have been completed as planned
- Check satisfaction with installation
- Identify and address any concerns
- Monitor project progress and arrange dismantling immediately after completion
- Coordinate dismantling dates with relevant stakeholders
- Minimise time scaffolding remains erected
- Track and report delays in removal
Contact residents to:
- Confirm removal has been completed satisfactorily
- Check for damage, defects, or concerns
- Record feedback and satisfaction levels
- Ensure all issues are logged and resolved promptly
- Manage and track all scaffold\-related complaints and enquiries
- Maintain a scaffold complaints register
- Investigate and resolve concerns promptly
- Escalate serious complaints, damage claims, or safety concerns immediately
- Monitor complaint trends and implement improvements
- 100% of scaffolds supported by fully compliant documentation prior to use
- 100% photographic verification completed before approval
- 100% scaffold inspections completed within statutory timeframes
- Zero unauthorised scaffold access
- Zero scaffold\-related RIDDOR incidents
- All documentation uploaded within 24 hours of erection
- 100% client approvals obtained prior to scaffold release
The Scaffold Coordinator has full authority to:
- Refuse or delay scaffold access
- Stop or suspend works involving scaffolding
- Reject non\-compliant scaffolds
- Request modifications or alterations
- Require re\-inspection before use
- Escalate safety concerns directly to senior management
- Enforce compliance with all legal, company, and client requirements
- Experience in scaffold co\-ordination, construction, or site logistics
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding compliance (TG20, inspections, RAMS)
- Experience managing documentation, audits, and compliance systems
- Able to review technical documents and photographic evidence
- Highly organised with ability to manage multiple sites and deadlines
- Confident communicator with clients, contractors, and residents
- Proactive in risk management and problem solving
- Willing to challenge unsafe practices and enforce standards
- Strong attention to detail with a zero\-tolerance approach to non\-compliance
- Competent in IT systems and document management tools
- CISRS qualification
- NEBOSH / IOSH
- Experience in housing, renewables, or compliance\-led roles
