Production Manager
Job Summary
We are a successful and long standing company within the brewing industry and are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures the effective planning, coordination, and control of the entire production process, delivering products on time, in full, and within budget.
Working closely with Warehouse, Procurement, and Senior Management, the Production Manager plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining high quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing function.
Duties
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production plans, ensuring raw material availability and minimal stock outs.
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the production team, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes through process optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee quality control procedures to maintain high standards of product consistency and compliance.
- Monitor productivity rates, quality standards, and output performance and reporting this back to the management team.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and innovation within the production environment.
- Collaborate with engineering team on process improvement projects involving mechanical knowledge and assembly techniques.
- Proven experience in chemical manufacturing or food grade production environments, in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Familiarity with Sage 200 would be an advantage
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes.
- Experience in implementing quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead cross\-functional teams effectively.
- Experience of BRC audits would be an advantage but not essential.
