Product Support Engineer – Gas Turbine Engines

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Support Engineer (PSE) to support civil aerospace gas turbine engine aftermarket MRO operations. The role sits at the interface between the shop floor, engineering, planning, cost, and hardware ownership teams, supporting safe, efficient, and cost\-effective engine overhaul.

The position is office\-based, supporting engine non\-conformance management. Owning and driving the completion of Departure Record (DR) or Technical Variance (TV). Ensuring quality and on\-time delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in controlling engine life cycle cost drivers, whilst contributing towards increased MRO throughput.

Key Responsibilities

• Support engine inspection and kitting activities, ensuring accurate capture and documentation of hardware condition and findings.


• Develop Pareto and root\-cause analyses to support cost control, planning accuracy, and repair strategy improvements.


• Act as the technical interface between shop operations, engineering, planning, and cost/programme functions.


• Support responses to technical queries and follow\-up requests from OEM hardware owners.


• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving shop flow, turnaround time, and overall MRO throughput.

• Experience in gas turbine MRO, repair engineering, and/or shop support roles.


• DR or TV background advantageous.


• Knowledge of gas turbine engine disassembly and inspection in an overhaul environment.


• Working knowledge of a gas turbine, part inspection processes, and common damage modes.

• Experience within OEM or OEM\-authorised MRO facilities.


• Exposure to parts exposure tracking, scrap analysis, or cost drivers in MRO operations.


• Experience working across multiple MRO sites or within a global MRO network.

• Strong practical engineering judgement and attention to detail.


• Ability to translate physical hardware condition reports into approved airworthiness instructions.


• Clear and confident communicator across engineering, operations, and programme teams.


• Comfortable working in a fast\-paced, execution\-focused shop environment.


• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions when required.


• Curious, growth driven mindset.
