Role Purpose

The Product Information Coordinator is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, enrichment, and publication of product information within the PIMICS Product Information Management platform. The role ensures that product data is complete, accurate, consistent, and ready for publication across e\-commerce, catalogue, and other sales channels.

Working closely with suppliers, and the Commercial, Marketing and Ecommerce Teams, the PIM Technician will manage product content, digital assets, attributes, categorisation, and quality checks to create a single trusted source of product information

PIMICS is an extension of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, designed to centralise product data, digital assets, attributes, classifications, and publication workflows. The role is focused on ensuring product information is maintained to a high standard and supports business growth through improved product visibility and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Data Management

  • Create and maintain product records within PIMICS.

  • Upload and validate product information received from suppliers.

  • Populate and maintain:

  • Product descriptions

  • Technical specifications

  • Product attributes

  • Dimensions and weights

  • Keywords and search terms

  • Product classifications

  • Related and accessory products

  • Ensure data complies with agreed business standards and governance requirements.

  • Maintain accurate product hierarchies and categories.
Data Enrichment
  • Improve product content to maximise website quality and customer experience.

  • Ensure all mandatory attributes are completed before publication.

  • Add enhanced product information including:

  • Features and benefits

  • Application guidance

  • Safety information

  • Marketing content

  • Support the creation of rich, searchable product data.
Digital Asset Management
  • Upload and maintain:

  • Product images

  • Technical documents

  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

  • Instruction manuals

  • Marketing collateral

  • Videos where applicable

  • Verify image quality and document relevance.

  • Ensure assets remain up to date.
Data Quality and Validation
  • Conduct regular audits of product data quality.

  • Identify and correct inaccurate, incomplete, or duplicated information.

  • Monitor data quality metrics and completeness requirements.

  • Support processes that ensure products meet publication standards before being released to customer\-facing channels.
Supplier Data Coordination
  • Obtain product information from suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Review supplier data for completeness and accuracy.

  • Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate bulk data imports where required.
Publication Support
  • Prepare product information for publication to websites, catalogues, and other channels.

  • Verify product information before activation.

  • Support product launches, promotional activity, and new range introductions.

  • Assist with bulk product uploads and maintenance projects.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with:

  • Commercial Team

  • Category Managers

  • E\-Commerce Team

  • Marketing Team

  • IT Team

  • Participate in data governance and product data improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with defining product attribute standards and data structures.
Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Experience managing large volumes of product data.

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience working with business systems or databases.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong written communication skills.
Desirable
  • Experience with Product Information Management systems.

  • Experience with PIMICS, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Magento, or e\-commerce platforms.

  • Understanding of product categorisation and taxonomy management.

  • Experience working with supplier product data.

  • Knowledge of retail, wholesale, distribution, or e\-commerce environments.
