Product Development Assistant

Role Overview
The Product Development Assistant will support the Category Manager across the end\-to\-end product development process for outdoor furniture ranges across both B2B and B2C brands.
The role will work closely with the Category Manager, suppliers and internal teams to coordinate samples and product information, maintain critical path timelines and support the delivery of commercially successful, high\-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Category Manager across the end\-to\-end product development process, helping to coordinate key activities, deadlines and actions.
- Provide commercially focused support for continued category growth.
- Coordinate and track samples with suppliers, Purchasing and Warehouse teams.
- Maintain accurate sample trackers, product information and development documentation.
- Assist with supplier communication and follow up on outstanding information and samples.
- Support the preparation of quality expectation packs.
- Support at yearly exhibitions/trade shows, producing customer facing sale packs.
- Provide customer service support on sales aftercare, logging complaints and required actions with inventory of replacements.
- Maintain the material swatch library.
- Assist with preparation for seasonal range reviews, including organising samples and supporting materials.
- Assist with photoshoots and other product launch activities where required.
- Provide day\-to\-day administrative and organisational support to the Category Manager.
As knowledge and experience develops, there will be opportunities to be more involved in product development, including contributing to sample reviews and range development.
Candidate Profile

- Clear and confident communicator.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
- Understanding and enthusiasm for sales/commercially focused work.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn across the product development process.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of product design \& development, either through a relevant degree or previous role.
- Previous experience in a product development assistant role.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
Pay: £28,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
