About The Role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle, L30 4YD
The Procurement Team's workload has increased significantly of late and so an opportunity has arisen to appoint another Procurement Assistant. As the team continues to grow it's an exciting time to join the team. The successful candidate will become part of an experienced, collaborative team and your development will be actively supported including training and education with the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply and Government Commercial College.
Key responsibilities will include:
- To maintain professional relationships with customers, suppliers and other external bodies, in particular Fire Services, other Public Sector Authorities and Professional Buying Organisations.
- To provide advice, guidance and information to both internal and external partners on procurement requirements and practices including responding to freedom of information requests.
- To assist with specifications’ drafting and pricing schedules’ drafting in conjunction with Category Managers and technical subject matter experts.
- 23 days’ holiday, (rising to 28 days after 5 years’ service) plus Bank holidays and 2 additional Extra Statutory days added to the holiday entitlement
