Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

CLdN Ports wish to recruit an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to work within our busy Workshop and expanding Ro\-Ro Terminal. The ideal candidate will have a flexible, professional and pro\-active approach to work.
Your role
Reporting to the Workshop Team Leader, the duties of the role include diagnostic and repair work and maintain a wide range of heavy plant machinery including Tugmasters, Reach Stackers, Forklift Trucks and all associated port plant, owned or leased by the Company. You will also carry out inspection and maintenance of slave equipment ensuring the equipment is in working order and that it meets all legal requirements. As an apprentice, you will be required to undertake formal training through a local college to attain a Construction equipment maintenance technician.You will also be required to use various/ bespoke IT programs.

- A flexible approach to work is necessary
- Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day\-to\-day running of the terminal
- You must also be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe
