About the Role

Skills Group is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Private Hire Sales Executive to join our office\-based sales team in Bulwell, Nottingham.

This role will support private hire sales across Skills Group, with a particular focus on helping to grow Redwings of London as part of the wider Group. The successful candidate will help generate new enquiries, reconnect with previous customers, prepare quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys speaking to customers, building relationships and working in a busy, fast\-moving office environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be involved in all stages of the private hire sales process, from the first enquiry through to confirmed booking. This will include handling enquiries, preparing quotations, following up prospects, maintaining customer records and working closely with our planning and operations teams to ensure bookings are practical and deliverable.

A key part of the role will be helping to develop Redwings of London by reconnecting with previous customers, strengthening customer relationships and developing new opportunities with schools, businesses, tour operators, event organisers, clubs, societies and group travel customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Handling private hire enquiries by phone, email, website and in person.

· Preparing accurate and commercially sound quotations.

· Following up on quotations and converting enquiries into bookings.

· Generating new sales opportunities for Skills Group and Redwings of London.

· Reconnecting with previous Redwings customers and helping strengthen customer relationships.

· Recording enquiries, quotations, bookings and customer details accurately.

· Gathering clear journey information, including dates, times, passenger numbers, pick\-up and drop\-off points, itinerary details and customer requirements.

· Working closely with sales, planning, operations and finance teams to ensure bookings are practical and deliverable.

· Supporting sales activity across schools, corporate travel, group transport, events, tours and private hire.

· Representing Skills Group and Redwings in a professional and customer\-focused manner.

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and customer\-focused. You should enjoy building relationships, following up enquiries and helping customers find the right transport solution.

You do not need to come from the coach industry, although experience in sales, customer service, travel, transport, events, hospitality or administration would be an advantage. Training will be provided on our systems and the coach hire industry.

The right person will understand that private hire sales are not just about winning work. It is about asking the right questions, recording accurate information and making sure each booking can be delivered properly by the operations team.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate should have:

· Previous experience in sales, customer service, administration, account management or business development.

· A confident telephone manner.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Good attention to detail.

· Strong organisational skills.

· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

· A professional and positive approach.

· The ability to work well under pressure.

· Commercial awareness and a willingness to learn.

Experience using Coach Manager or working in coach hire, travel, tourism, events, education or transport would be beneficial but is not essential.
