About the Role
As a Court of Protection Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload involving deputyship applications, mental capacity issues, and safeguarding vulnerable clients. You will provide expert advice and representation in Court of Protection proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of Court of Protection work including deputyship applications and statutory wills
- Advise clients on mental capacity law and best interests decisions
- Draft legal documents and prepare applications for the Court of Protection
- Liaise with clients, families, and professional deputies
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and firm standards
- Deliver exceptional client care and build strong relationships
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ considered) with experience or interest in Court of Protection work
- Strong knowledge of mental capacity law and private client matters
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
